London team host Macmillan Cancer Support coffee morning.

Our London team based in Harrow recently hosted a Macmillan Cancer Support coffee morning to help raise vital funds for the charity. The Nexus Fostering team wanted to join in and support a charity close to many people's hearts and a well-deserved cause.

It was also an opportunity to bring foster carers and colleagues together and have a catch-up over tea and cake. When you are a foster carer, it is crucial to have people around you for support. Having the chance to meet other foster carers in the same position not only provides support but also helps foster carers feel included in our fostering community.

Along with tea and cake, the team shared recent experiences about their fostering journeys and provided a chance to check in on one another.

Our London team has regular monthly drop-in events held at their Harrow office. Anyone who wishes to learn more about becoming a foster carer in London can pop in for an informal chat about becoming a foster carer and meet some of the team. This provides an excellent opportunity to learn more about the fostering process, what is involved and how you can apply to become a foster carer with an Ofsted outstanding fostering agency. Nexus Fostering welcomes everyone to come and say hello, and this can be people from all walks of life, including single people, same-sex couples, families with children or retired people.
