Karen celebrates 15 years of dedication to fostering

Foster carer Karen celebrates reaching her 15th year fostering with Nexus Fostering.

We caught up with Karen's Social Worker Zoe who gave some lovely feedback on the fantastic work Karen has dedicated to fostering.

'Karen has dedicated many years to Fostering young people. She came to Nexus Fostering from another fostering agency, so it has been more than 15 years for her, and we were very lucky to have her join us.

Over the years, Karen has specialised in children with extremely complex medical needs. She takes it all in her stride and has made a huge difference in the lives of the young people in her care. Karen is also an adopter, and this has been a very positive experience for her and her family.

Karen has a close family that supports her. They are very present and active in the lives of the children she cares for, and she really feels this is a big part of what helps her do what she does.

Karen is always happy and positive, and we really want to thank her for everything she does and continues to do for the young people and Nexus Fostering. Karen really is an incredible woman!'
