The 2024 Nexus Fostering Agency Day

Colleagues from our nine offices gathered in Daventry for a memorable day, celebrating the remarkable achievements of our children and young people at Nexus Fostering. The focus was on the fantastic milestones our young people have reached, thanks to the unwavering support of our participation team. They have excelled in the Duke of Edinburgh Award, contributed to a young persons Ambassador group, and even created a magazine exclusively for the children and young people at Nexus!

Our day was enriched by the presence of BBC broadcast journalist and presenter Ashley John Baptiste, who shared his inspiring journey from foster care to Cambridge University. His story, now captured in his book 'Looked After: A Childhood in Care', is a testament to the fact that with determination, one can overcome life's challenges and achieve their dreams.

To close the day, we had some fun with everyone mingling and having the time to reconnect with others whom they might not have seen for some time. Our nine offices span Telford, Gloucester, Birmingham, Nottingham, Cambridge, Bedford, Norwich, Hornchurch and Harrow. At Nexus Fostering, we are proud of all the hard work and passion our colleagues bring to work every day, and our colleagues and foster carers help us to support children and young people in foster care to achieve their dreams.
