Our children & young people enjoyed our Summer events

We have a participation lead in each of our offices planning fun, educational days out, and activities for our children, young people, birth children, and grandchildren to bond with other children from fostering families.

Through open communication and active engagement, we forge a strong bond of trust and respect, creating a safe space for our children and young people to share their experiences and ideas.

Here are what some of our children & young people said about the events this Summer:

'It was a very fun experience and saw animals that were very rare. Thanks to Nexus for arranging such an amazing trip'.

'It was spectacular. I liked the meerkats, they looked cool and were funny.'

'Nexus has always got fun events, I like trying different and new things. I can't wait for the next one.'

'I love seeing my social worker and going on fun days out.'

Our participation events are often a great opportunity for our foster carers to get together and form friendships and support networks amongst each other as well as for the children.

Our participation team also run our Youth Council, Nexus One Family & The Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
