For 10 years, Chris and Angela had dreamed about fostering, but it wasn’t until their children were older that they finally took the leap. The inspiration came from Angela's parents, who were fostering twins long-term at the time. Watching the profound impact her parents had on those children ignited a spark in their hearts—one that would soon lead them down the path of fostering themselves.
From the moment they welcomed their first child into their home, Chris and Angela knew they were meant to do this. The transformation they witnessed in children who finally felt safe, loved, and cared for was nothing short of incredible. It wasn’t just a job—it was a privilege, an opportunity to offer more than just a roof over someone’s head but a true sense of belonging.
For Chris and Angela, fostering has become their calling. Every day is a gift, and they can’t imagine doing anything else. The joy and fulfilment they experience, knowing they are making a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children, is beyond words.
They feel so fortunate to open their hearts and home, witnessing the power of love in transforming lives—one child at a time.
Nexus Fostering continually seeks inspirational people to join our fostering agency and become foster carers. We need people to care for foster children of all ages, including teenagers, parent and child fostering (P&C), siblings and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, whether that be short-term fostering, respite or long-term fostering.
Could you help tackle the national shortage of 6,500 foster carers that are currently needed? Contact us for an informal chat about how you can change a child's life.
